1951: Pan American World Airways Captain Paul Burns Baxter’s passport application letter

A salary release letter that stated “while I am or reported to be interned, missing, or a prisoner or hostages war...”. Interesting personal history, boxes of these treasures donated to Pan Am Museum from the Baxter Family.

This letter notes Captain Paul Baxter's promotion to Senior Pilot, and the monthly salary pay rate. The postcard was sent home to his son, pointing to the fact that dad flies these (Douglas DC-3) now.

​"Thank you for your dedication to Pan American World Airways. Hopefully others will find some of the items as touching and meaningful as this one letter has been to you. My brother and I are so very happy that this information can now be shared with others in the Pan American family. Again, Thank You for your help."
